BATMAN BEGINS...not a comic book movie

Question:
That was my impression when I saw it Friday night. It seemed like a serious drama for the first hour, and even the Batman scenes were non-comic bookish. I liked how christian bale spoke in a mean, raspy voice as batman, although that voice was unpleasant (that is, not a movie star voice), i liked the fact that batman did this. I hope we see a lot more of Chris Nolan/Christian Bale Batman movies. Oh, and a question, why did batman and/or Jim Gordon have to change positions in the batmobile when executing certain functions of the batmobile? It looked cool, but it didnt make any "movie sense" to me.

Answer:
-I wondered the same thing. A minor flaw (one of many) in an otherwise excellent movie.

-It's too bad. If it had any of the qualities of the Batman comic book, it might be a decent movie.

-Which iteration? Everyone who reads comics knows that there have been many iterations of all their favorite characters. I'm glad this isn't "Camp" Batman, but rather a very serious take on him. It's my favorite comic book movie ever. One of my favorite movies ever. You can go watch the old Adam West episodes on DVD if you don't like Batman Begins. Me, I'll be at the theater again tomorrow.
