I've always wondered, especially in today's politically correct age - how
in the world they could sanction a Captain America, considering he is pretty
much a weakling who became strong by using drugs.
Is this why they killed off the original - so they could have a movie with
an origin story that doesn't even mention the super soldier formula?

-Wasn't it the Super Soldier Formula in addition to some sort of rays
from one of those huge machines?
As it is, you can tweak things. Spider-Man is a good example.

If the drug cartel had a lobby as strong as the pharmaceutical or tobacco
lobby then they'd be legalized.
