Storing comic books in the garage?

Question:
I have my books in the plastic covering on the acid-free backs. Each cover is sealed with Scotch tape. My collection is contained in four of those long cardboard? comic boxes.
The real question is that I'm considering moving the boxes to the garage. How much damage might the collection incur as a result of this? Yellowing? Moisture damage? What?

Answer:
You must buy liquid crystal molecule free bags, with titanium backs.
To avoid UV degradation, all comics must be individually stored in their own air tight, bunker with a minimal wall thickness of 3 meters.
All handling of comics must be in dust free environments utilizing the appropriate sterilization techniques (see Adromeda Strain for tips)
And you must not, I repeat NOT ever open them to actually examine the content. If the story is good enough, you are to buy the Trade Paperback of the exact same books you own for nonsense like that.
Of course, if you're a REAL collector, the conditions are significantly harsher.
