Question:
I'm looking for a good comic book price guide online. If anybody knows of one, please
let me know. Also, I'm an old comic book investor who just got back into the business,
can anyone suggest a hot item coming out to the market soon?
Answer:
-Some day I hope to do an online Price guide, but for now pick up a copy
of Overstreet.
- For marvel, check out "one million comics". For golden
age, check out PCE. For newer stuff, look around in the newsgroup
rec.arts.comics.marketplace.
Don't look at wizard or overstreet. The real price guides
are totally inaccurate for most things these days. You can nearly
always easily buy books for far less than the guides say.
-Are you referring to "100000 Comix", the dealer? Their web-page isn't
a price guide, it's a for-sale list.
From what I've seen, most of the big dealers ARE pretty close to
Overstreet prices. They just grade strictly -- and comics in "fair"
conditionare supposed to go for about half of Overstreet's LOWEST
price. That's per Overstreet itself.
