Ultimate Fantastic Four . . . redundant?

Question:
If the four are "ultimate", then isn't "fantastic" simply redundant?
An "ultimate" hulk wouldn't need to be "incredible" also. Wouldn't it be implied?
An "ultimate" spider-man wouldn't need to be "amazing", also. It's implied.

Answer:
-The word "fantastic" is part of the group's name; "amazing" isn't part of Spider-Man's name, nor is "incredible" part of The Hulk's name.

-No. The team name is Fantastic Four. 'Ultimate' simply denotes the setting.
If the character's name were "Incredible Hulk", you'd have a point.

-Agreed, but you're confusing book titles with team names. The FF are the Fantastic Four. The _book title_ is Ultimate Fantastic Four. There's a difference. In the case of the Avengers, they were re-named the Ultimates. I think it would get tedious if we had the Ultimates, the Ultimate Four, the Ultimate Defenders, and Ultimate Excalibur _as_ the team names.
